After 2 nights in Sedona we went to Page. We went up Oak Creek Canyon and headed north via Flagstaff. As is well known, 89 is closed to Page, so we had to take the detour via 160. The plan was to switch to the 264 at Tuba City, take the Coal Mine Canyon with you and then take the Indian Route 7 to see the Blue Canyon and then continue on the 160 and 98 to Page. So much for the planning. We also found the Coal Mine Canyon because I spotted the big wind turbine from the street … a great location with beautiful colors.

Am Canyonrand wehte ein heftiger Wind.  A strong wind was blowing on the canyon rim.

Conclusion: I really liked the Coal Mine Canyon. I would have liked to climb all the way down … but that is probably too dangerous. Then came the next bankruptcy. We drove on 264 and looked for Indian Route 7. I couldn’t imagine it being that far from Coal Mine Canyon. After the big hairpin bend, we took a path to the left that I thought could be Route 7, but after a few miles we couldn’t go any further because the lane was very sandy and the overgrown median was super high . We have often used. At some point I didn’t feel like it anymore. We shot and drove all the way back to Tuba City, what a shame! There are some beautiful rock formations on the 98, but unfortunately very few stops. I liked this formation a lot.
