Nach der Creek-Rundfahrt ging es wieder auf den Big Bus. Hier mussten wir eine ganze Zeit an der Haltestelle warten, weil der letzte Bus gerade abgefahren, als wir mit dem Schiff anlegten.
Das war nicht gut koordiniert. An der Haltestelle gab es ein klimatisiertes Wartehäuschen mit 6 Sitzen. Wenn das Häuschen aber voll ist, ist es dort fast genauso heiß wie draußen. 
Als der Bus dann endlich kam, mussten wir also noch einmal ein ganzes Stück der ersten Route erneut fahren. Wir wollten zum Schnittpunkt für die nächste Route, der sich an der Dubai Mall befindet, um dann Richtung Palm Jumeirah und Burj al Arab fahren. Als wir uns dann der Mall näherten, haben wir bemerkt, dass es schon viel zu spät für eine weitere Runde war. Wir hatten uns um 18:00 Uhr mit unserer Nichte, die ebenfalls in Dubai wohnt, zum Abendessen an den Fountains verabredet. Jetzt war es schon nach 17:00 Uhr. Also sind wir ausgestiegen und haben erst einmal ein bisschen die Dubai Mall erkundet.
Wow…., die Mall, eine der größten auf der Welt ist gigantisch. Böden, Wände, Interieur…alles nur vom Feinsten. Edle Materialien wie z.B. sehr viel Marmor, Stuck, tolle Lampen….da haben die Scheichs nicht gekleckert.
After the creek tour we went back to the Big Bus. Here we had to wait a long time at the bus stop because the last bus had just left when we docked with the ship. That wasn’t well coordinated. At the bus stop there was an air-conditioned bus shelter with 6 seats. But when the house is full, it’s almost as hot there as it is outside. When the bus finally came, we had to drive a long way on the first route again. We wanted to go to the intersection for the next route, which is located at the Dubai Mall, and then drive towards Palm Jumeirah and Burj al Arab. As we approached the mall, we noticed that it was far too late for another round. We had arranged to meet our niece, who also lives in Dubai, for dinner at the fountains at 6:00 p.m. It was now after 5:00 p.m. So we got out and first explored the Dubai Mall a bit. Wow … the mall, one of the largest in the world, is gigantic. Floors, walls, interior … all of the finest quality. Fine materials such as a lot of marble, stucco, great lamps … the sheikhs didn’t mess up there.
Natürlich gibt es in der Mall auch ein riesiges Dinosaurierskelett. Das haben sich die Scheichs gegönnt. Es handelt sich um ein Diploducus, das 2008 in Wyoming/USA gefunden wurde und ca. 155 Millionen Jahre alt ist. Das Skelett besteht zu 90 % aus Originalteilen und war sicher kein Schnäppchen.
Of course there is also a huge dinosaur skeleton in the mall. The sheikhs allowed themselves that. It is a Diploducus that was found in Wyoming / USA in 2008 and is around 155 million years old. The skeleton consists of 90% original parts and was certainly not a bargain.
Die Mall sieht im integrierten Souk-Bereich, wie ein orientalischer Palast aus.

Die Läden in der Mall sind nur von den feinsten Marken, wie Armani, Gucci etc. angemietet. Hier kann der betuchte Dubaier nach Herzenslust shoppen. Für meinen Geldbeutel war leider nix dabei. 
The shops in the mall are only rented by the finest brands such as Armani, Gucci etc. Well-heeled Dubai residents can shop to their hearts’ content here. Unfortunately there was nothing for my wallet.
In der Mall gibt es auch ein riesiges Aquarium. Wenn man Eintritt zahlt, kann man sich die Fische von unten begucken. Aber auch die anderen Mallgäste bekommen etwas zu sehen.
Leider spiegeln sich die vielen Lichter der Shops in den Scheiben. So ist es schwierig ein vernünftiges Fot zu machen.
There is also a huge aquarium in the mall. If you pay admission, you can look at the fish from below. But the other mall guests also get to see something. Unfortunately, the many lights in the shops are reflected in the windows. So it’s difficult to get a decent photo.
Auch die kleineren Shops geben ein farbenfrohes Bild ab. The smaller shops also make a colorful picture.
Ein Riesenkrokodil gibt es auch. Das ist die Nachbildung von King Croc, einem über 5 Meter langen und 500 Kilo schweren Alligator.
