When browsing through my pictures, I noticed that I hadn’t uploaded any pictures from our trip to Switzerland in 2017. It was probably because I was pretty mad at our car during and after the trip. On the way there, in the Freiburg area, our car suddenly started to weaken. The loss of performance was blatant. Suddenly we could only drive a maximum of 120 kmH. In Switzerland, at the entrance to the car train in Kandersteg, we were a total traffic obstacle. We could only drive up the switchbacks at 30 km/h. We then made it just before Leuk im Valais, and then it was over. We then called the international number from ADAC. However, it took 4 hours until someone came from the Rhone Valley. When it was over 30 degrees, we had to wait in the blazing sun, which can be pretty intense in Valais. The end of the story was that the mechanic dragged us to his workshop. His wife then drove us up to the chalet with our luggage. So we were trapped for a little over a week, in a chalet, so to speak, up on the mountain and could only go shopping in the small village shop, for example. Something on the turbocharger was defective and it had taken so long for the necessary spare part to arrive from Lausanne. What we could do during the week wasn’t much, because you always have to go back down to the Rhone Valley for excursions. There was a bus connection, but since my wife can walk very badly, we didn’t use it. So it was time to chill. Then I walked around the mountain a bit and took a few photos of the landscape, flowers and insects.
